Parking Meters

There are 1,500 parking meters throughout downtown, handy for running quick errands. All downtown meters offer the first 10 minutes FREE - just push the button. By the end of summer 2011, 1,400 meters will accept credit card payments (Visa, MC, AmEx) in addition to coins. Tip: The meter must have no minutes remaining in order to get the free 10 minutes. So, push the button for the free 10 minutes BEFORE depositing coins! Also, remember parking meters are always FREE on major holidays and on Sundays.
