I had been meaning to try the vegan lunch bar at Park + Vine for some time now. With the sun shining and a meeting that took me to the 1200 block of Main, the stars were aligned. All I can say now is what took me so long? Yum! If the rest of the menu is anything like the “Rubinator” I’m hooked. Granted, the menu is short, but it’s perfect in that it offers items you don’t readily find elsewhere.
On my walk back, I stopped in the NEW Tot Dogs at 634 Vine Street. New, as in it just opened today. With 4 successful Lucy Blue Pizzas under his belt, Jim knows the restaurant business, and we can expect to find the same convenient (and late night) hours at Tot Dogs as we do at Lucy Blue around the corner on Seventh. If you’re wondering how this was still a “vegetarian lunch stroll,” Tot Dogs offers veggie dogs, in addition to hot dogs, chicken and Andouille sausages, turkey dogs, etc., each served with additional toppings ranging from homemade Asian slaw to blackberry mustard. Is this where I admit I somehow found room for a veggie dog too?
