Saturdays in the City: What to do on December 14

Dec 13, 2019

Can you believe it’s already mid-December? We’re officially in the thick of the holiday season, and there’s no shortage of fun things to do in the Queen City!

This Saturday, head downtown and grab a coffee before you start your day off at the Cincinnati Museum Center for the Holiday Junction Special Exhibit. The Holiday Junction exhibit, featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, brings out the wide-eyed wonder in kids of all ages.

Make your way over to Pendleton for brunch at Nation Kitchen & Bar. Once you’ve chowed down on some Breakfast Tots, do your last-minute shopping around Over-the-Rhine. There’s a variety of places to get unique gifts for friends and family. Do you know what’s on your #OTRwishlist?

After shopping, spend some quality time with the man in red at Washington Park. Ditch your annual trip to the mall and visit with Santa at the park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Don’t forget your camera. You don’t even need kids to go – feel free to bring your dog or your friends!

If you’re in the creative mood, take the Cincinnati Bell Connector for FREE down to the Taft Museum of Art. Make the holiday extra special by crafting your own holiday print during a special workshop from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.

You’ve probably worked up an appetite by now! There are plenty of restaurant options for dinner at The Banks, including Pies & PintsYard House, and Taste of Belgium. Have you tried Taste of Belgium’s Gingerbread waffle yet? It’s topped with crushed peppermint!

End the night in the heart of the Queen City. Downtown Dazzle kicks off at Fountain Squareat 5:30 p.m. You can skate the night away on the UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank, while a Rozzi Fireworks display lights up the sky!
